PlayStation 5 (or PS-5) is the next-generation PlayStation console, with a release date confirmed for late 2020. We are only halfway through 2020 and sony has already revealed the sneak peek of what their PS-5will look like.
The PS-5 reveal showed us that it includes the surprise unveiling of the PS-5 Digital Edition – without a disc drive. It’s another sign that console manufacturers have their eye on a future without physical media.
Features of the console:
- Haptic Feedback
- Built-in Mic
- Built-in 4K Blu-ray player
- Backward Compatible (Supports PS-4 games)
- Voice assistant capabilities
- Supports VR (PSVR)
- HD Camera
- Wireless Headset
- Controller Charging Station
Final Design of PS5:
PS5 is a two-tone black-and-white console with a vertical configuration and sloping white fins that cover a rounded black box.
The console will come in two styles: an asymmetrical PlayStation 5, and an asymmetrical PlayStation 5 Digital Edition.
The difference between the two is obvious: The former has a disc drive, while the latter will play only digital games. As such, it’s likely that the PS5 Digital Edition will cost less, but it’s not clear how much the price break might be.
Thanks to this mega reveal, the only piece of the PS5 puzzle left now is the price of these two new consoles and a specific launch date.
